Abby's cousin Maddie was in town last week so we all went to the zoo together. This was a special treat since Maddie lives very very far away and we haven't seen her for over a year! Even though Abby says goodnight to Maddie's picture every night, she was a little shy on meeting her again. That didn't last long as one goofy girl easily brings out the goofball in another. :)
Getting a boost :)
Being silly at the playground...
Can you see us up there?

Bribery
Wednesday, September 10, 2008
Yesterday we made a trip to the store to get Abby her very own little potty. She also got to pick out a special treat that she could have after the first time used her potty - a pair of fuzzy "kee-kah ma-sir" slippers. Abby wanted those slippers soooo bad and kept going back to the counter to look at them longingly. By the end of the day she did it! We are very proud of her :)

Building the sandbox
Monday, September 8, 2008
Grandpa came to visit this weekend, and helped Mike make a sandbox for Abby. She was very excited and started hauling the sand over, one little bucketful at a time :) All the sand is moved in now, and it's almost all painted. Pics of the finished sandbox will be coming soon.
a little bit of sand to play with while we finish the building...watching Grandpa get the seats ready...
waiting... waiting...

One tomato, two tomato...
Thursday, September 4, 2008
I really think that Abby has enjoyed the garden most of all this year. She is always so excited to pick veggies after work with daddy. Here she is with one HUGE tomato! We'll be having BLT's tonight :)

LWI round 1
Tuesday, September 2, 2008
LWI dying is pretty easy, and doesn't really take much time. These samples are all 85/15 cotton velour which soaks up the dye beautifully :) I'm really itching do do a couple more colorways but that requires a trip to town for a couple of things first....
lavender and fuchsia...
lemon yellow and turqoise ...
colbalt blue and fuchsia... (this one was really really hard to get a good picture of because the colors are sooo dark and rich)
